Students in the Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration’s Stewardship Science Graduate Fellowship program are part of an innovative group charged with advancing our understanding in areas important to stewardship science.  An annual conference makes it possible for these leaders to get together, share ideas, support one another, and discover the research opportunities at Department of Energy laboratories.

The first of these annual Fellows’ meetings was held June 18-21, 2007, in conjunction with the Computational Science Graduate Fellowship (CSGF) 2007 Annual Fellows’ Conference.  It is expected that this combining of conferences will continue for a few years until the SSGF program has grown to a size that makes a conference of its own feasible.
