Krell Institute Announces New Senior Vice President
Ames, IA - The Krell Institute recently
announced that John Ziebarth has joined the company as
Senior Vice President. Dr. Ziebarth’s
responsibilities will include executive leadership and
operations management, as well as maintaining and increasing
Krell’s visibility in the science, technology and
education communities. “This is a successful
conclusion to the search for a key member of our executive
team. Dr. Ziebarth has had a distinguished career
in government laboratories and academia, and he will be a
valuable asset as Krell develops new business opportunities.
He shares Krell’s commitment to successfully partnering
with the science, technology and education communities to
further workforce development,” said Dr. James Corones,
President.
Dr. Ziebarth comes to Krell with twenty-five years of
experience in all aspects of leadership, operations, planning,
fiscal management, and program development. Most recently,
he served as the Head of the Advanced Computing Laboratory at
Los Alamos National Laboratory. Prior experience includes
Division Chief of the NASA Advanced Supercomputing Division,
Director of the NASA Consolidated Supercomputing Management Office,
Associate Director for the National Center for Supercomputing
Applications at the University of Illinois, Director of the
Computational Fluid Dynamics Laboratory at the University of
Alabama in Huntsville, as well as various Staff Scientist,
Faculty Staff, Technical Staff and Research positions.

Dr. Ziebarth earned his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering
from Mississippi State University, his M.A. in Mathematics
from Eastern Illinois University, and his B.A. in Physics
and Mathematics from Eastern Illinois.
