Krell Announces New Web Designer

Ames, Iowa (December 30, 2008) — The Krell Institute today announces that Tom Bonney has joined the organization as web designer.  In this role Tom will be responsible for developing new architecture and design for the company's existing corporate and client websites, taking steps to ensure search engine optimization, and integrating off- and on-line marketing strategies to develop additional modules and functionality.

Mr. Bonney earned his bachelor's degree in fine arts from the University of California at Santa Cruz in 1991.  Prior to joining Krell, Tom was employed at the Iowa Foundation for Medical Care as an information architect, at the Meredith Corporation as assistant art director – applications, and held the title of web designer at the now-defunct Women.com.  While at Meredith, Tom supported sites for Better Homes and Gardens® and Ladies Home Journal; in addition, he continued to work on freelance projects as part of a business he founded in 1999.  With over 11 years experience with internet-based design, development and production, Tom has provided numerous Iowa and (San Francisco) Bay Area companies with web strategy and project management services.
